A: Yes. JZ Design Build (JZ Architectural and Interior Design LLC) is led by a licensed architect registered in New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut, with about 17 years of construction industry experience.

 

Q: What areas does JZ Design Build serve?

A: We serve northern New Jersey including Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Passaic, Morris, and Union counties, the five boroughs of New York City, Westchester County, and Connecticut. We are licensed in NJ, NY, and CT.

 

Q: Do you handle NYC Department of Buildings filings?

A: Yes. We serve as Architect of Record on NYC DOB filings, including alterations, place-of-assembly and food-service projects, and supersedes of other architects' filings.

 

Q: What is a permit set?

A: A permit set is the complete set of signed and sealed architectural drawings submitted to the building department to obtain a construction permit. Our permit sets include plans, elevations, sections, schedules, and details required for approval.

 

Q: Do you only do drawings, or construction too?

A: Both. We are a design-build firm: we produce the design and permit drawings and can also carry the project through construction with our in-house general contracting, electrical, and plumbing teams.
